What is Deep Learning?
Deep learning is the next evolution of Machine Learning and is a product of advanced Neural Networks. Industry error rates on Machine Learning are between 25-30% whereas Deep Learning has surpassed the human error rate of about 3%.
Google uses Deep Learning for self-driving vehicles, Facebook for image recognition, and Microsoft purchased Deep Learning firm Maluuba which focuses on natural-language understanding. Our client is the only firm to date applying Deep Learning to the Cyber Security space.
How does it apply to the market?
Our client utilizes the core foundations of Deep Learning to predict the existence of unknown sophisticated malware with the highest rates of detection in the industry & the lowest False Positive rate in the market, all without using a signature file.
The firm develops and trains a “brain” for clients in its lab using graphical GPU’s that can handle mass calculations 1000x faster than CPU’s (market standard). The “brain”, being trained at HQ, does not learn from the customer’s network and can yield the same efficiency as it conducts analysis when unplugged from the network.
